Last night we had few friends over to celebrate our friends Amy and Brooks. They're having a baby!! She's due in April, and we are all SO RIDICULOUSLY excited for them. She's the first of our close friends to get pregnant, so needless to say we went a little crazy :-)
Phillip and his trusty assistant (Emily) were in charge of the decorations.
Mallory brought the flowers and the phone I left in her purse :-)
Dessert.
Aren't these the cutest things you've ever seen?! Believe it or not, they taste even better than they look!
She will probably kill me for this picture, but I don't care. Disclaimer: she came straight from her 12 hour shift at the hospital. :-)
In all seriousness...Amy, I am so lucky to have you as a friend. I am so grateful that I get to be a part of such a special time in your life. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He be your strength during this time. Give him praise and thanksgiving, because every good thing comes from Him.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." - Psalm 139:13-14
Phillip and I said goodbye this morning to go our separate ways. He is headed to south Louisiana for more fishing and hunting, and I am headed to "God's country" (as my husband likes to call it) to spend time with my family and celebrate my dad's birthday! I am so excited I get to go for more than a couple of days. I'm sure I'll drink lots of coffee, spend time in the kitchen with mom, and get in plenty of "swing time". I can't wait! I'll be sure to update you guys when I get back! But for now. . . I'm headed home.
Have a great weekend!!
