Hello all!! I wanted to put up a quick post with details from our fun-filled weekend…
We went to Houston’s annual Lights in the Heights celebration on Saturday and had more fun than we bargained for. We all dressed up in tacky Christmas sweaters...some of us went all out with bell necklaces, and some were even adorned with Christmas lights themselves J We started off at a friend’s bungalow that is tucked away in a part of Houston referred to as the Heights. The Heights is a really cool neighborhood that has completely restored itself over the past decade.
The night of Lights in the Heights, everyone had an almost offensive display of Christmas lights (hence the name) J The neighborhood hosts a Christmas light competition, and people win awards such as “Best Traditional Lights” and “Most Wattage.” It was cool to see what all people came up with. All in all it was a really fun night for a bunch of friends to get together and celebrate the season, and I’m sure we’ll be adding it to the things we do each Christmas! Thanks for having us, Lauren!!!
